Revs add Rincon to the bullpen

The York Revolution announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Junior Rincon prior to Sunday’s spring training game at Southern Maryland. Rincon joins the Revs for his sixth pro season, having previously pitched in the Marlins, Brewers, and Braves organizations. He is expected to pitch in Sunday’s exhibition.

The 26-year-old signed with the Marlins out of his native Dominican Republic in 2011 before landing in the Brewers organization for three seasons. He combined to post a 3.62 ERA in 40 outings between Double-A Biloxi and High-A Brevard County in 2016. He also split last season between Double-A and High-A while in the Atlanta Braves organization, and spent time in the Dominican Winter League during the offseason. He is 8-12 with six saves and a 5.71 ERA in his career (110 appearances, six starts).
