Telvin “Smash” Among Latest Three Revolution Returnees

The York Revolution continue to load up for the 2016 season, announcing three more player signings for the club’s upcoming 10th anniversary campaign.  First baseman Telvin Nash, outfielder Nick Ferdinand, and right-handed pitcher Tony Pena are all set to return to York, with the signings unveiled by manager Mark Mason on Friday afternoon’s airing of “Revs Hot Stove Weekly” on SportsRadio 1350 WOYK. Revs launch Rockett into outfield lineup, re-sign Schreurs

Revs announce first two player signings of 2016

The York Revolution have begun construction on the 2016 preseason roster, unveiling the first two player signings of the new season.  Catcher Salvador Paniagua has signed to return to the club for a sixth season, while outfielder Jason Repko has been reacquired to spend a third season with York.  The signings were announced by Revs manager Mark Mason during the initial episode of “Revs Hot Stove Weekly” on SportsRadio 1350 WOYK on Friday afternoon. #YorkRevs 10th Anniversary Team Announced

Five starting pitchers, seven relievers, a starter at each position and four additional “bench” position players have been selected to the York Revolution 10th Anniversary Team, constructed as a typical team would be.  Of the 25 players honored, 14 were a part of one or both of York’s Atlantic League Championship clubs in 2010 and 2011.  Criteria for being nominated were mixed; longevity with the Revolution and placement on the franchise’s all-time stat rankings were weighted the most heavily, as well as great individual single-seasons.  Brief tenures with the team that led to significant Major League playing time were also considered.
