WOYK ADDS WEEKLY REVS PRESEASON SHOW TO LINEUP
2015 player signings to be unveiled every Friday at 4 p.m. on “Revs Hot Stove Weekly”

SportsRadio 1350 WOYK-AM is adding some hardball to the heart of its winter lineup.  Leading up to the start of Atlantic League spring training in April, WOYK’s newest local program, “Revs Hot Stove Weekly” is set to air every Friday from 4-5 p.m., debuting with the first episode on Friday, February 6.  The unveiling of the new program, the first of its kind for an Atlantic League franchise, was announced today by WOYK General Manager and broadcaster Darrell Henry, in conjunction with the York Revolution.

“Revs Hot Stove Weekly” promises to be appointment listening for Revs fans, as the only place to first learn of the latest player signings for the 2015 season, which will be unveiled one-by-one on each show.  Henry will be joined in-studio by 2014 Atlantic League Manager of the Year, Mark Mason, as hosts of the one-hour weekly program.  Mason enters his third season as Revs manager in 2015.

“Our fans are some of the most passionate in minor league baseball, and we’re very excited to create a new program with our fans in mind, where we literally unveil breaking news on their favorite team every week,” said Henry.  “Seeing the team come together as players are signed during the preseason is always a fun time, and to now have this brand new radio show devoted to the topic is going to be a lot of fun.”

Other planned elements of the show include fan interaction through both WOYK and York Revolution social media, player interviews, analysis with Mason, and a roundup of news from around the Atlantic League.  Video archives of each program will be posted on WOYK1350.com.

WOYK-AM has been the broadcast home of Revs baseball since the 2010 season.  Last spring, York Professional Baseball, LLC completed the purchase of WOYK-AM, York’s only local sports radio station.  In addition to Revolution baseball, SportsRadio 1350 is also home to local high school sports, York College Athletics, Hershey Bears and Washington Capitals hockey, the NFL and the NCAA Tournament.  Along with local and national sports coverage, WOYK also airs daily business updates, as well as state news through Radio PA and hourly national news updates through Westwood One.  Programming can be heard worldwide on WOYK1350.com and the WOYK mobile apps.
