Eric Patterson sets Revolution all-time triples mark
Scott Grimes collected 374 hits during his three seasons and 357 games with the Revolution (2010-2012), 13 of which were triples. On July 3 at home against Southern Maryland, Eric Patterson legged out two triples, his 14th and 15th in just 128 games over the last two seasons with York. The veteran of 226 MLB games with the Cubs, A’s, Red Sox and Padres is now the Revolution franchise leader in that category.
Patterson played in 62 games for York a season ago, earning Atlantic League All-Star Game accolades, before his contract was purchased by the Milwaukee Brewers. He stroked six triples in that time last season; he already has nine this year in his first 66 games in his second go-round with the Revs.
