Revolution announce 2014 schedule

The 2014 Atlantic League schedule has been released and the York Revolution will begin next season at home on Thursday, April 24 against the Camden Riversharks.  It will mark the beginning of the eighth season of professional baseball in Downtown York, and the third time in four years the Revolution will begin the season at home.

The season will begin with a six-game homestand, against Camden (April 24-27) and then two games against the rival Lancaster Barnstormers (April 29-30).  The first flight trip of season will be May 19-22 when York makes its first voyage to take on the Sugar Land Skeeters in the suburbs of Houston, TX.  For a third consecutive season, the Revolution will end its regular season with a six-game road trip at Sugar Land, in a second visit to Texas.

The longest homestand of the season for the Revolution will be from June 26 through July 3, when the team hosts the Long Island Ducks and Southern Maryland Blue Crabs in a pair of four-game series.

York will not be home over the 4th of July weekend, but fans won’t have to travel far to see the club.  The Revolution will square off against Lancaster in a notable “War of The Roses” series July 4-6.  The Revolution lead the all-time series by a 71-65 count in the regular season.  Other home series against Lancaster include May 23-26 and August 18-20.

On July 10, the Atlantic League All-Star Game will be west of the Mississippi River for the first time, when it’s hosted by Sugar Land.

Official game times will be added to the schedule in the coming weeks, followed by a full promotional schedule. For the full calendar layout of the schedule, please CLICK HERE.
