Futures Game participants with Revolution ties

The annual MLB Futures Game was Sunday, July 14 at Citi Field, as it’s been held the Sunday before the MLB All-Star Game at the same site since 1999.  It pits the top prospects in minor league baseball against one another, United States-born players vs. international-born players (including Canada and Mexico).  Looking through the all-time rosters, I was able to find 12 players that have played in the Futures Game with York Revolution ties:

1999:  P Matt Riley (’10) Orioles/USA
1999 & 2000:  P Aaron Myette (’08) White Sox/Canada
2000:  IF Ramon Castro (’10, ’11, ’12) Braves/Venezuela
2002:  P Francis Beltran (’10) Cubs/Dominican Republic
2003:  P Shawn Hill (’12) Expos/Canada
2003 & 2004:  IF Andy Marte (’13) Braves/Dominican Republic
2003:  John VanBenschoten (’11) Pirates/USA
2004:  OF Val Majewski (’10, ’11, ’13) Orioles/USA
2004:  IF Dallas McPherson (’13) Angels/USA
2006:  C Salomon Manriquez (’10, ’12) Nationals/Venezuela
2006:  IF/OF Eric Patterson (’13) Cubs/USA
2010:  P Anthony Slama (’13) Twins/USA
