Chuck Jeroloman leaves TCU for Jacksonville U.
York Dispatch Revolution beat reporter John Walk had the news first on his Revolution Rumblings blog: Former York shortstop Chuck Jeroloman (’10) has left the coaching staff at Texas Christian University of the Big XII to take an assistant coaching job with Jacksonville University of the Atlantic Sun Conference. Jeroloman had spent the last two seasons coaching with the Horned Frogs, and remains in Division I coaching with the Dolphins in his native Florida.
As Walk points out in his conversation with Jeroloman, the move made sense on multiple levels:
- He and his wife Tara are both Florida natives
- His ultimate ambition of being a head coach in the SEC, furthermore his dream job at his Alma Mater (Auburn) will be helped by recruiting athletes and building relationships in the southeast
- He will have an expanded role in his new position compared to his duties at TCU
The best nugget from Walk’s piece was the note on next year’s schedule…Jacksonville opens the season with TCU.
