John Halama, Mark Mason to appear at York Sports Night

The 49th annual York Area Sports Night event is coming up the evening of Thursday, February 7, and the re-vamped Revolution coaching staff will be on hand to talk with fans about the upcoming season and sign autographs.  The event will again be at the Heritage Hills Golf and Conference center as it was last year.

There’s a definite baseball flavor to this year’s event, as the headlining celebrities include Hall of Fame pitcher Ferguson Jenkins and former Orioles World Series Champion Paul Blair.  Jenkins won the 1981 NL Cy Young, and Blair collected eight Gold Gloves as an outfielder.  That’s a lot of hardware for Blair…it must have gotten overshadowed by Brooks Robinson winning the award every year at third base.

Newly named Revolution Manager Mark Mason will also be on hand, along with his replacement as Revs pitching coach, long time MLB and Atlantic League veteran John Halama.  Tickets to the public autograph session from 7 to 8 p.m. are just $25 dollars, which allows you to have one item signed by each celebrity.  There is also a reception from 3 to 4:30 p.m. prior to the autograph session, where fans may meet the celebrities more at-length.  Those tickets are $75 when purchased in advance, and are $100 at the door.

While tickets to the autograph session may be purchased at the door, fans are encouraged to buy them ahead of time.  Tickets may be purchased at the Apple Chevrolet Ticket Office at Sovereign Bank Stadium, cash or check only.
