Chris Nowak sets new Revs single-season home run record in grand style
Another week coming to a close, another home run milestone from Chris Nowak. Last year Nowak smashed 25 homers in just 84 games after joining the team in mid-June, eclipsing Jason Aspito’s team record of 24 in 2008. On September 5, Nowak achieved his seventh two-homer game as a Rev, blasting his 26th to lead the bottom of the 4th. An inning later, Nowak sent a grand slam over the Arch Nemesis in left, and now holds the single season record by two, over himself, with 27 long balls, with 19 games to go this season. York beat Sugar Land 8-3 in the 111th game Nowak has played for the Revolution this season, and he leads the Atlantic League in home runs and RBI with 88. Nowak has four two-homer games this season, to go with three last year.
He is of course the franchise’s all-time home run leader as well with 52.
